- On July 22, 2005, noted educator Brian Crosby launched the American Education Association in Washington, D.C.
Educator Brian Crosby is a 16-veteran high school English teacher in Glendale, California, just outside of Los Angeles. He is also a part-time instructor in the teacher credential program at California State University, Northridge. For over half of his teaching career he has mentored teachers in Glendale Unified School District (4th largest in the Los Angeles metropolitan area).
His 2002 book, The $100,000 Teacher: A Teacher’s Solution to America’s Declining Public School System (100000teacher.com), earned Fore Word Magazine’s Gold Winner award for Best Book in Education.
Mr. Crosby has made dozens of national media appearances on both TV and radio, discussing his views on a variety of issues concerning public schools.
He is a frequent contributor on the Fox News Channel, appearing multiple times as a guest on “The O’Reilly Factor” and “Day Side with Linda Vester.”
Mr. Crosby has also been invited to speak at state and national conventions including the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards and the California Charter Schools Association.
Mr. Crosby attended the University of California, Los Angeles, graduated from California State University, Northridge with a Bachelor’s Degree in English, and a Master’s Degree in Computer Education from the same institution.
